The words on our product pages, in one place. When a term is a measurement or a material we use, the entry says where you will find it.
- Fanny pack
- A small zipped bag on a strap worn around the waist or hips. In the UK the same thing is called a bum bag.
- Belt bag
- The same bag worn higher, slung across the chest or back. Any fanny pack with a long enough strap can be one.
- Crossbody
- Worn with the strap over one shoulder and the bag resting on the opposite hip or in front.
- Sling
- A crossbody bag worn on the back with the strap across the chest.
- Running belt
- A flat stretch pouch worn tight at the waist, meant to move with you rather than swing.
- Headphone port
- A small hole in the pocket so a wired earbud cord can run out while the zipper stays closed.
- Water-resistant
- Fabric that sheds light rain and splashes. It is not the same as waterproof.
- Waterproof pocket
- A lined pocket that keeps water in or out, used on our gym bags for a wet towel or swimwear.
- Wet pocket
- Another name for a waterproof pocket inside a gym or swim bag.
- Drawstring
- A cord that pulls the top of a bag shut. On our gym tote it doubles as the backpack straps.
- Duffle
- A soft bag with a long main compartment, carried by handles or a shoulder strap.
- PU leather
- Polyurethane-coated fabric with a leather look, used on our touchscreen phone purse.
- Lycra
- A stretch fiber, used on our running belt so it can sit snug without a stiff buckle strap.
- Memory foam
- A foam that softens with body heat and shapes to your foot, used in our cat paw slippers.
- EVA
- Ethylene-vinyl acetate, a light foam used in the footbed of our shower slides.
- PVC
- Polyvinyl chloride, the water-shedding plastic of our shower slide upper and sole.
Every style mentioned here is on its shelf: fanny packs and belt bags, crossbody and phone bags, gym and travel bags, slippers and shower shoes.
